Paraparaumu Community Board 2022 Election Our Community, Our Voice, Let's Make it Heard! Glen Olsen
I am passionate about Paraparaumu and the Kapiti region. I live with my wife and our pre- and school-aged children, close to my mother, who is a 50-year Paraparaumu resident and senior citizen.
I was born at Paraparaumu hospital and grew up in Kapiti, attending Paraparaumu College before venturing overseas. I returned to Paraparaumu six years ago, knowing there is no better place to raise my family.
I stand for the Paraparaumu Community Board in the upcoming 2022 Kapiti local elections recognising the importance of varied representation.
As a board member, I will advocate for and ensure that all of our community's voice is heard, from our youth to our senior citizens.
I am keenly interested in local sports, theatre, the arts and sustainable economic development; I am involved with several local community groups.
We must continue improving our community's environment and lifestyle, ensuring affordable rates and that KCDC expenditure is beneficial and accountable.
This is our community, and we have a voice. Together, we can make sure our voice is heard!
I would love the opportunity to represent you through our Community Board.
